Breakout Sessions

  • Prayer is the most important responsibility in the life of a Christian woman and it is our lifeline to our Heavenly Father who desires to be in a close relationship with us. Let's walk together and take the negative stigma and dread out of prayer and learn to experience the joy of spending time with Jesus.

  • We live in unprecedented times and are facing insurmountable pressure. Uncertainty is all around us and mental health issues are rising at alarming rates in the church! In the midst of the pandemic there is an epidemic of mental health issues and it is affecting everyone. This session will expose the lies and stigma that keep women in mental bondage. We will use God's Word as our guide to identify resources and tools that will help equip you to create an open and safe environment where women can be encouraged to break the silence and learn how to take off the masks they wear to hide the pain they are facing.

  • The issues surrounding race and unity in the church and culture are topics that must be discussed in a healthy Christ-like manner. These topics often evoke fear and uncertainty. God has called us to live in harmomny and in unity with one another and His Word has a lot to say about this topic. This session will allow a safe place to have honest biblical conversations about issues on racial unity.

  • Discipling the next generation doesn’t have to be complicated or intimidating. Let’s learn how God desires to use your story, your time, your gifts, and even your flaws to be an effective disciple-maker. Come discover why the next generation needs you and how you need them.

  • Idolatry isn’t confined to the Old Testament. Not only is it a struggle for us as leaders, but our teens battle it as well. In this session, we’ll discuss the idols teenagers are facing. We’ll discover how to help our teens identify their own idols and how to break free from them while living in the midst of culture.

  • Have you been called to lead women in your local church? Whether you are starting from scratch or in the process of rebuilding, this session will guide you through some basics in assessing your situation and moving forward. Learn principles from the book of Nehemiah and see how the why of ministering to women hasn't changed – the methods have.

  • What is emotional intelligence (EQ)? It is the ability to identify and manage your own emotions and the emotions of those you interact with. Learning more about emotional intelligence can help you develop skills that will strengthen your leadership and ministry. When you develop the ability to be aware of your emotions and express them in healthy ways, you have greater relational skills professionally and personally.

  • As a collection of inspired Hebrew prayers and hymns, the book of Psalms is one of most loved portions of the Bible. But how do these words speak to God function as a word from God to us today? How do they help us to express ourselves to God and consider His ways? In this breakout, we will dive deeper into the Psalms to challenge the heart and the mind.

  • Do you feel confident when you sit down to read and study the Bible? Do you feel equipped to correctly understand – or even teach – God’s Word? With the right tools you can understand, apply, and ENJOY Scripture! Here are some of the topics we will cover in this workshop:

    • Faulty study trends and how to avoid them

    • The difference in Bible translations and how to know which to use

    • How to observe a Bible passage so you can know what it says

    • Solid interpretation tools to help you understand what a passage means

    • How to personally apply biblical truths to your life

  • With the ever-widening gap between the world’s values and God’s standards, it’s easy to lose sight of our prime directive to share Jesus and instead use the world’s tactics to fight a spiritual battle. In this workshop, we’ll explore five practical ways to share Jesus and counter a godless culture. We can be a gracious witness by showing the world what we are “for” instead of what we are “against.”

  • Why is it that so many Christians seem to forget their faith when we get on social media? Yes, it’s tempting to express our feelings about the culture on social media. Yes, it’s hard not to argue when that person is so obviously wrong. That kind of virtual behavior might make us feel better for a few minutes, but in the long run it could eliminate opportunities to share the Gospel and even sully the name of Jesus. This workshop explores the explosive nature of social media and how Christians can best navigate it to maintain their witness and use these platforms for ministry. This workshop will cover:

    • Examples of “Christian” social media gone wrong

    • Biblical principles for engaging with a godless culture

    • How to support what we’re “for” instead of focusing on what we’re “against”

    • Playing the social media game without compromising your faith

    • How to use groups more effectively for ministry
