Baptist Hymnal and The Worship Hymnal (2008) - Singer's Edition

The Singer's Edition of the Lifeway Worship Project contains all of the 674 hymns and songs you'll find in the pew edition of Baptist Hymnal™ or The Worship Hymnal. Like the "Hymn Sheets" provided with previous hymnals, these are identical in to the hymns in the pew edition, large print, pulpit edition and the Piano Edition.

When a title in the pew edition is written in unison, the Singer's Edition contains parts for a praise team to sing (unison, two-part, three-part harmonies). Also included are introductions, transitions and other cued musical notation, identical to all the WorshipCharts (available on CD-ROM), the printed Organ Edition, and the recordings on WorshipTracks and WorshipMedia.

Although the content is very similar, the Singer's Edition is a little different from the pew edition and piano edition. Our research indicates music ministries who use Singer's Editions usually purchase enough for their entire choir or praise team, and then file all of the pages from each song together. As the church uses songs and hymns each week, the parts for that song or hymn are distributed to the singers, then refiled each week.

Because the Singer's Edition was not designed to be a single volume, a custom binder was not created for the product. The Singer's Edition is two-hole punched to fit in the lower two rings of a standard 3-ring binder or in the rings of an octavo-sized binder.
