Your Finest Hour

The sources are many—unrealized dreams, relentless criticism, exhaustion that doesn't lift, the loneliness of leadership, and the creeping sense that the ministry you were called to is not the ministry you have. When several of these converge, even the most committed leader can begin to wonder whether they have anything left to give.

Your Finest Hour: Faithful Ministry in Discouraging Times was written for that moment. Adam Groza, President of Gateway Seminary, and his faculty colleagues bring their own stories alongside biblical and historical wisdom to minister directly to discouraged leaders. Each chapter addresses a distinct source of discouragement—being attacked, misunderstood, criticized, frustrated, exhausted, or isolated—and points toward a path of faithful endurance.

The collective voice of the Gateway Seminary faculty gives Your Finest Hour a rare quality: the breadth of perspective that only a community of experienced scholars and practitioners can offer. For pastors and seminarians, this book offers a timely reminder that the most difficult seasons of ministry can also prove to be the finest.
