In the Volume 8 study, The Son Has Authority, we will study some of the most powerful moments in Jesus’s ministry. His people wrestled with the realization that the long-awaited Messiah was among them, struggling to understand Jesus's identity and His purpose. Through His miracles, Jesus displayed His authority to heal sickness and disease, to restore sight, to raise the dead, and more importantly, to forgive sin. Jesus’s ministry to the Jews and to the Gentiles in the region teaches us about God’s kingdom. He came for the lowly, the sick, the needy, the rejected, the sinner. He bent low, willing to reach out and touch those deemed unclean by the law. He came for the Sadducees, the Pharisees, the scribes, the religious elite. He came—for us. (13 sessions)
