Our mission at LifeWay Students is to serve you in your mission of making disciples. Because of that mission, our teams are working hard to serve you through Bible studies, events, mission trips, and training.
The LifeWay Students blog and podcast are a additional ways we want to come alongside you in the day-to-day realities of ministry. We hope they will be a hub of encouragement, experience, and practical advice for you as you strive to be obedient to God’s call to make disciples of students and their families. Join Ben Trueblood and John Paul Basham, who have a combined 20+ years of student ministry experience, as they walk and wrestle through discipleship strategy and challenges, current events that affect students, and leadership advice.
Ben Trueblood serves as the Director of Student Ministry for LifeWay Christian Resources and has seventeen years of student ministry experience, fourteen of which were spent in the local church as a student pastor. In addition to his role at LifeWay Ben is involved in training, consulting, and speaking to student ministries throughout the U.S.
He is driven by a desire for student ministries to expand God’s Kingdom, to see the lives of students transformed by the gospel, and to develop students who shape the culture in which they live. In his recent book Student Ministry that Matters Ben shares what it takes to build and lead a truly healthy student ministry.
Ben and his wife Kristen have four children. In his free time Ben enjoys family, hunting, Brazilian jiu jitsu, and the St. Louis Cardinals.

John Paul Basham serves as the Manager of LifeWay Student Ministry Publishing. He served in the local church for 10 years before coming on staff at LifeWay and has a deep passion for the work of the church and its mission to make disciples.
He is married to Crystal Basham and has two boys, Levi and Titus.

Drew Dixon is the editor of Explore the Bible: Students at LifeWay Christian Resources in Nashville. He is also the editor-in-chief of GameChurch.com, a non-profit dedicated to bringing the message of Jesus’ love, hope, and acceptance into the culture of video games. He also hosts two podcasts: the GameChurch Podcast and the Christ and Pop Culture Digest. In addition to writing and editing student ministry resources at LifeWay, Drew has written for Christianity Today, WORLD Magazine, Paste Magazine, Relevant, Think Christian, and Christ and Pop Culture.
Drew and his wife Jennifer live in the Nashville area with their two daughters. Drew loves the church, students, and engaging culture for the sake of the gospel.

Andy McLean serves as the Team Leader for LifeWay Student Publishing and is the editor for The Gospel Project for Students. Andy has been involved in various aspects of student ministry for the past 16 years, ranging from local student pastor to writing biblical studies for student ministries. He is also the author of Big Questions: Developing a Christ-Centered Apologetic, aimed at equipping students to think biblically and apologetically about some of the toughest topics related to the Christian faith.
Andy and his wife Sarah have four children, Isaac, Caleb, Timothy, and Tobias. In his free time, Andy loves hanging out with his family, spending time outdoors, and working towards his PhD in theology from the University of Aberdeen.
