Session 1
The Fatherhood of God [20:50]

This session explores the meaning of this portion of the Lord’s Prayer: “Our Father in heaven.” God is our Father, and through His grace and our faith in Christ, we are His adopted sons and daughters. We always have total access to and total love from our Father, and Jesus tells us to pray to Him as children would pray. We can go to our Father anywhere, anytime, about anything in life. The realization that God is our Father drives our worship of and intimacy with Him.

Session 2
The Worthiness of God [22:07]

This session explores the meaning of this portion of the Lord’s Prayer: “Your name be honored as holy.” This verse emphasizes that prayer isn’t about us and our needs; it is about God and His glory. Beginning our prayers with a focus on God acknowledges who He is and places us in a posture of submission to Him. Then we are ready to make our requests known to our Father. When we honor the name of God, His presence is manifested in the world through our lives, our behavior, and our attitudes.

Session 3
The Kingdom and Will of God [20:45]

This session explores the meaning of this portion of the Lord’s Prayer: “Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” God’s kingdom comes in our lives when we die each day to our own desires and surrender to His will. We ask for Jesus’ ruling presence to invade the specific circumstances of our lives, and then we act in submission to His rule. In praying for the kingdom of God to come, we are asking Him to multiply His kingdom through the united prayers of His people.

Session 4
The Provision of God [18:20]

This session explores the meaning of this portion of the Lord’s Prayer: “Give us today our daily bread.” This request acknowledges the reality that we have needs in life and that we cannot meet our own needs. At the same time, it recognizes that only God can provide for those needs. As we ask for each day’s provision, we affirm that God is the source of everything good in our lives. Through this prayer God teaches us that He is always enough.

Session 5
The Forgiveness of God [21:10]

This session explores the meaning of this portion of the Lord’s Prayer: “Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.” When we come to God in prayer and ask for forgiveness, He releases us from the power of our past and our sins. Although we deserve hell, God forgives us. That reality brings into sharp focus our need to forgive other people. No matter what wrongs other people have committed against us, they pale in comparison to what our sin did to Jesus. We forgive because we have been forgiven.

Session 6
The Protection of God [20:06]

This session explores the meaning of this portion of the Lord’s Prayer: “Do not bring us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.” Satan is always on the prowl, watching for opportunities to tempt us through the lust of the fflesh, the lust of the eyes, or the pride of life. Although God has already delivered us from evil through Christ’s victory, this prayer reminds us that we would be doomed without His grace and divine protection every day. We can take comfort in the fact that He is fighting with us against whatever temptation we face.
