The ball soars through the air and lands right in the hands of the receiver, yet he drops it and tumbles to the ground. When he gets up, he hobbles to the sidelines limping. He’s not really hurt, he’s just trying keep the heat off his back. You’ve probably seen this happen time and again as you‘ve watched a game, but is this how you live your life? Do you make excuses when you drop the ball and limp to the sidelines? This is the pattern of far too many men—young, old, and everywhere in between.

Exploring examples of men of God throughout the Bible, this eight-session Bible study dives deeply into the heart of a man and challenges him to stand up, embrace the role God has made him for, live with integrity, love with ferocity, and to be the man God has made him to be. And it all begins when we stop making excuses.

In this 8-session Bible study guys will be challenged to put down their excuses, stop compromising, and fight to be men of character and commitment. Despite setbacks, failures, pr­essures, guys can still find purpose and meaning, and be the men God calls them to be.

Video Sessions:

• Session 1: No More Hiding Behind the Past | (11:13)—Sometimes guys allow their pasts to define them and excuse them from being the men God designed them to be. In this first session Dr. Evans gives principles on how to leave the past behind and no longer hide behind it as an excuse.
• Session 2: No More Holding Back (12:20)—In Session 2, Dr. Evans explores and dispels the excuses many guys use to hold back from being the man God has called them to be.
• Session 3: No More Weak Leadership (10:54)—God has called men to be leaders, in their schools, teams, homes, and churches. In Session 3, Dr. Evans empowers guys to lovingly live in the leadership role that God designed them to have.
• Session 4: No More Going Through the Motions (10:09)—It's often easy for guys to slip into a routine and just go through the motions of life. In Session 4, Dr. Evans challenges guys to break out of the routine and step up to the call God has placed on their lives.
• Session 5: No More Compromising Your Integrity (12:28)—In Session 5, Dr. Evans encourages guys to live with integrity. Integrity is a lost art in our world today, but guys can live and lead boldly when they follow the path the Lord sets before them and walk as young men of character.
• Session 6: No More Sifting Through the Rubble (13:09)—For many guys there is a lot of rubble in their pasts. But, when God sets us free, He sets us free from that past. In Session 6, Dr. Evans shows young men how to stop sifting through the rubble and live for Christ today.
• Session 7: No More Half Stepping (12:05)—In Session 7, Dr. Evans explores the tendency of guys to half step, meaning, not to fully commit. The life God has called all men to is one of complete surrender and full submission.
• Session 8: No More Standing on the Sidelines (14:50)—Far too many guys are content to stand on the sidelines and let others lead. In Session 8 Dr. Evans challenges guys to get off the sideline and into the game. God has called and equipped; all that's left is to respond and surrender to what He has in store.
