A life lived on mission isn't a supersized version of an extraordinary Spirit-filled life. It isn't reserved only for top-level Christian risk takers who have mastered the art of obedience. Living a life on mission is the story of everyday, ordinary believers leveraging whatever levels of influence they have to bring unbelievers to faith in Christ.

Session 1
Life on Mission (15:33)

This session features an introduction to the study by authors Aaron Coe and Dustin Willis and an interview with Ronnie Floyd, the pastor of Cross Church in northwest Arkansas. Floyd emphasizes the importance of living life on mission, using our influence and relying on the Holy Spirit’s power to be witnesses wherever we are.

Session 2
God’s Design (19:40)

Authors Aaron Coe and Dustin Willis interview Ellis Prince, the pastor of Gallery Church in Baltimore, Maryland. As presented in Scripture, God’s design is rooted in relationship and moves toward the goal of an expanded spiritual family as people embrace the gospel. Brokenness results when people live outside God’s design. In contrast, believers live their lives on display, always open to the Spirit’s leadership and always ready to share about their relationship with God.

Session 3
Brokenness (16:34)

Authors Aaron Coe and Dustin Willis interview Eric Mason, the pastor of Epiphany Fellowship in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Beginning with the fact that everyone has a level of brokenness, Mason defines what brokenness means from a spiritual perspective. God uses human brokenness to open us to our need for Him. No matter how broken we are, Jesus has already dealt with our brokenness and will ultimately remove it.

Session 4
Gospel (18:24)

Authors Aaron Coe and Dustin Willis interview J. D. Greear, the pastor of The Summit Church in Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina. Greear lays a solid biblical foundation for understanding the gospel as the remedy to the brokenness caused by sin. Confident that faith comes by hearing the word of God, believers can joyfully offer the gospel to others, leading them to repent and believe.

Scroggins presents an overview of the Three Circles diagram, a simple tool that believers can use to witness to others in a natural, conversational way. Highlighting God’s design, human brokenness, and the gospel, the diagram enables believers to take an everyday conversation about problems or challenges in life and turn it into a conversation about Jesus.
