You Lead Leadership Training

Have you been called to lead women in your local church? Whether you are starting from scratch or in the process of rebuilding, this session will guide you through some basics in assessing your situation and moving forward. Learn principles from the book of Nehemiah and see how the why of ministering to women hasn't changed – the methods have. 

Lifeway Research surveyed 1,000 pastors in the past year and discovered that out of 44 needs, the top challenge was developing leaders and volunteers. If this is true of the entire church, then women's ministry leaders are facing the same difficulty. This session will focus on theological and practical ways to recruit, retain, and celebrate those who are serving the body of Christ. 

The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, and more. At the bottom of this list Paul mentions self-control, that pesky and often hard-to-attain virtue. Why do we struggle with self-control and how can we begin to make changes that will strengthen your leadership? How can you turn good intentions and setting goals into progress? This session will focus on breaking the bad habits that lead to sin and developing the rhythm of holy habits that give you life. 

We live in an event-driven world and our calendars are crammed. So what if you could create events that impact women's lives (and the kingdom of God) forever? In this session, we will talk about the nuts and bolts of cultivating events for small groups, mid-size ministries, and large communities all while focusing on the intentional ministry of event planning. 

Our world can be a broken and hard place to live at times and we have to fight to find joy and peace. Part of the key to living in contentment is cultivating an "attitude of gratitude." In this session, we will discuss God's encouragement to us through the lens of Joshua 4 and 1 Samuel 7 and talk practically of what it looks like to build these "stones of remembrance" in our lives. 

Matthew 28 gives all believers the command to be discipled and make disciples but how does that really work? Are we really supposed to be able to read God's Word on our own and teach others how to do the same? YES! And the process is more fulfilling and life-giving than you can imagine. Join us as we see just how sweet it is to learn to study God's Word and then pass it along through the S.U.G.A.R. process.

What are the women around you reading? How do they process what they hear from others? How do they share their faith? As disciples of Jesus, women need to know and love the Lord. They also need to develop their voice as Jesus' ambassador — communicating Scripture and the gospel to others well. Both reading and writing challenge women to learn, think, and voice God's truth for themselves and others.

What is emotional intelligence (EQ)? It is the ability to identify and manage your own emotions and the emotions of those you interact with. Learning more about emotional intelligence can help you develop skills that will strengthen your leadership and ministry. When you develop the ability to be aware of your emotions and express them in healthy ways, you have greater relational skills professionally and personally. 

As a collection of inspired Hebrew prayers and hymns, the book of Psalms is one of most loved portions of the Bible. But how do these words spoken to God function as a word from God to us today? How do they help us to express ourselves to God and consider His ways? In this breakout, we will dive deeper in the Psalms to challenge the heart and the mind.

Have you ever been discouraged? The answer is most likely “yes”.  We all need to be encouraged from time to time. In this session we will discover what it means to empower, encourage, and elevate women.  Digging into the scripture, we will discover ways we can build up the women God has called us to serve. 

We are a people in pain. Anxiety, depression, suicidal ideations - are all on the rise. We need to be ready. As women leading women, we need to know how to create safe and healing spaces for women in crisis, trauma and pain. Together, we will discuss how.

If you are breathing, then you have experienced loss at some level. 2020 and Covid-19 made "grievers" of us all. With the global pandemic came global loss. This breakout will allow space to safely explore your own loss while providing a practical framework for helping others with theirs.

Have you experienced “church hurt”? Are you disillusioned by the disturbing trend of narcissism, spiritual abuse of authority, and personal wounding that you see in the local church? This breakout will allow space to safely explore our own hurt and give us some strategies to begin healing ourselves and our churches.
