You Lead Leadership Training

Have you been called to lead women in your local church? Whether you are starting from scratch or in the process of rebuilding, this session will guide you through some basics in assessing your situation and moving forward. Learn principles from the book of Nehemiah and see how the why of ministering to women hasn't changed – the methods have. 

Lifeway Research surveyed 1,000 pastors in the past year and discovered that out of 44 needs, the top challenge was developing leaders and volunteers. If this is true of the entire church, then women's ministry leaders are facing the same difficulty. This session will focus on theological and practical ways to recruit, retain, and celebrate those who are serving the body of Christ.

Physical formation is seen in the body, but spiritual formation is the inner transformation of becoming more like Christ in order to serve others. In this session, you'll learn both the theological elements of spiritual formation as well as the process elements that shape who we are and who we are becoming in Christ. It is a life-long process that involves spiritual disciplines and the work of the Holy Spirit who transforms and conforms us to be more like Jesus each day.

In our churches, perhaps more than ever, the differences between generations are evident, and often problematic. In this breakout session we will examine key influencers that distinguish each generation in order to better understand one another. Then, realizing the beauty of those differences, we will be better equipped to work alongside one another and bring glory to God. 

In 1 Peter 5:7 we are told to “cast all our cares on [Jesus] because he cares for you”. What does that look like practically? Of course there is prayer, but there is also the little known or understood practice of lament. When we learn to lament, we learn to give voice to our suffering. In this session we will explore some of the powerful laments in Scripture and then practice creating a lament of our own. 

There are a variety of reasons a woman might reach out to you in a crisis situation. In this breakout, we will explore some first-steps you as a ministry leader should consider when ministering to a woman in crisis. 

Many of us struggle in the in-between of knowing the call God has put on our lives and running our race well. Whether it’s comparison, insecurity, stress, or a multitude of other things, we often get distracted and lose sight of the unique race God has called each of us to run. We’ll look at Scripture and be challenged to run the race He has set before us. The finish line is the same for each of us - we’re running towards Jesus and Christlikeness, so let’s do it together! 

Whether you’re young, inexperienced, or feel like you’re leading from the end of the line, it’s critical to learn how to lead those around you by leading up. We’ll explore the challenges many leaders face and discuss how to work with others effectively and humbly, even if you are the aren’t the one in charge. 

When women understand the importance of knowing God's Word, it changes everything. The Bible is foundational to our lives, but are we leading in a way where they want to know and understand what it’s all about? Let's talk about some intentional ways to engage women in the Word of God. 

Discipleship begins in the home, and you are fully equipped to do just that. Let’s discover how God desires to use your story, your time, your gifts, and even your flaws to help your daughters and granddaughters walk closely with Him.  

Discipling the next generation doesn’t have to be complicated or intimidating. This session will help you learn more about Gen Z and why this generation not only needs you, but why you need them.  

There will be days when the most important ministry we can do is to suffer well. In this breakout session, we will learn to understand suffering as being an essential qualification of leadership and encourage one another that suffering can be the means for God to prove Himself faithful to all who are watching.
