Norfolk, VA - Sept 9
Today Sept. 9th, I attended a Turning Hearts Tour at First Baptist Church of Norfolk. I attended the tour with my 16 year old son. We both throughly enjoyed the tour. I think what we learned through song and teachings will help make very important changes for our family. It was good to get to do something this wonderful with my son prior to my deploying overseas for 7 months. Again, thank you for having this tour. I hope to be able to attend future events done by this outstanding team of ministering people for our Most wonderful savior Jesus Christ.

Thank you for coming to Clovis. It couldn't have been a better time for my daughter and I. We really needed that nudge! Since that weekend, we are sharing more and more. She's talking to me about her life, seeking my guidance and has actually started hugging me of her own free will!

Abolutely AMAZING! That's how I feel about the Turning Hearts Tour experience. It so far exceeded my expectations! I was questioning whether or not my husband, 16-year-old teen son, and I should attend. Our family has pretty healthy relationships. Our hearts are connected with each other. After attending I had no doubt it was God's will for us to be there! It brought us even closer than we already are! The parent sessions were so practical. I feel we have tools to build even stronger relationships. My teen wasn't excited about attending. He thought it was going to be a boring seminar with people lecturing at him. He was pleasantly surprised. He said it wasn't what he expected and that he even enjoyed it! I believe every family with teens should attend a Turning Hearts Tour!

We just got back from the conference in College Station, TX. The consecration service for our teen boys was awesome -- to release them to God for his purposes and trusting him. We also will begin family devotional times with the help of the e-mail material from Dr. Ross. I also got to meet Clayton Ross. I can tell how much his dad loves him by what he says.

We attended the Turning Hearts Tour, May 5-6 in College Station, TX half expecting to hear a lot of what we had heard at other parent-child conferences that we had attended years earlier with our 3 other children (now in their mid 20's). With our youngest child, Chris, 16yrs old, we thought we would be getting a refresher course. We were so wrong! What an incredible experience to have been involved in. The passion that poured forth in wanting families to be united, reunited and to live as a living sacrifice for Christ was evident in the teachings, in the songs and in the signing of the songs. My regret is that we can not turn back time and give to our other children what we will now be able to give to our youngest child. Thank you Richard, Joel, Tyra and your families for allowing Christ to use you in this mighty and powerful ministry.

This weekend my parents and I attended the Turning Hearts Tour and it was a weekend I will never forget. I was not exactly thrilled to be going but the experience was incredible. I went with the thought of this being just another one of "those conferences" but I learned so much that could be applied to my daily life. The music was awesome and the compassion of the leaders was apparent. The experience truly touched my heart and will change our family forever.

Thank you for what you are doing for families! My daughter and I attended the Turning Hearts Tour in College Station, TX. We had a wonderful time, just slowing down the pace of life and concentrating on what God intends for our families to be. Thank you for your work in putting teens and parents together in a unique way.

"First God used unusual circumstances to lead us to the conference. As I was listening to the local christian radio station, Joel's song "Shadow of the Cross" played. I was not sure who the artist was, so when I got home I researched on the internet. While on his web-site I happened across the link to "The Tour". I know now that it was the hand of God guiding my family to this weekend... God's mercy and love invited us through that song! Although we love each other, there had been a lot of anger, hurt and resentment. The lesson on true forgiveness literally cut to our hearts! As my wife, son and I held each other and wept, we knew our relationships were changing. God's Spirit just came down and held us in His tender arms. Mere words can't begin to express the joy in my heart as my son forgave me for past wrongs! Although Friday was awesome, Saturdays practical applications and personal challenge to love God and be spiritual leader of my family have re-energized me to share our experiences at our own church."

"I am a youth pastor in Missouri and in Feb. when I found out about this conference, I was ecstatic, because I have been praying for a way to help connect our teens and their parents spiritually. My wife and I took some time to go to the conference in Nashville and we were blown away! As we listened, prayed, worshipped and watched, our hearts quickly went from how can we minister better to others, to how blessed we are to be here as husband and wife because we have 4 children of our own! Our family needs Jesus! It wasn't easy to sit through because God's Word showed me as a father how much I'm missing out on. My heart was broken for my family because I spend so much time trying to help others that my family get's all the leftovers. For years I've been naive feeling that just because I'm a minister that my family automatically becomes close to me and Jesus, but that's not true at all. I realized all the time and sacrifice it takes to point them to their Heavenly Father and how much I have to fight to stay connected to them. I left there committed to being the father and husband my wife and children need! Praise God for His Presence at this conference and what He did in everyone's lives!"

“My wife, two children (16/14) and I attended the Turning Hearts Tour in Brentwood this past weekend. We have long been blessed in our family, and have reasonable relationships with our kids, and with each other. My wife and I agreed to go to Turning Hearts, really not knowing what to expect, but with an understanding that a "recharge" is always good - at a minimum, it would at least be time together with the kids. So we decided to go. I am often skeptical of conferences such as this, as there are a lot of people selling all sorts of "feel good" seminars - for every kind of person and every kind of purpose.
This is NOT one of those seminars.
After the first few hours spent listening and in prayer with my family, we began to sense the transforming value of the hours we were about to spend together.
I had often prayed FOR my kids, my wife, our family - but I have never prayed OVER them. I now know - there is a huge difference. It was one thing to hear in Sunday School, or from the pulpit that "the father is the spiritual leader of the home", but it is quite another to have your children look at you in the eyes, put their hands on your shoulders and feet and DECLARE it to be so. It is one thing to hear "parents turn your hearts to your children", and quite another to hold them close and drop tears from the Heart of the Lord into their hair...”

"I was so very blessed by the Praise and Worship; the teachings were straight from the Heart of God. I adopted three beautiful children, having received them in my home as abused Foster Children. The oldest beautiful daughter, left home at 18, my heart was broken. Being there Friday night with my 15 year old and a lovely friend, we bridged a gap that I never thought would be bridged. I had decided that I would just tolerate her until she decided to leave home. We began a new love relationship and God blessed me with a visit from my 18 year old daughter on Saturday, (not a coincidence) I shocked her with an apology for the times I was not the Spiritual Parent, trying to manage her life instead of praying, loving and trusting the Lord. She and her fiancée were in church with me on Sunday morning. God is an Awesome God all the time, if we but allow Him to be. Some of the teaching was painful but all the teaching was from the heart of our Heavenly Father. I have 6 biological daughters, 2 adopted daughters and 1 adopted son. You might say I am very wealthy!"

"One man told me of how he was on the corporate track, working all the time, had the big house, his family had all they wanted but along the way he had lost them. He didn't even realize the extent of that until this weekend. What he saw happening in his family had him so excited that he could not stand still!
As a single mom, I was so touched by the prayers of my boys. How they heard clearly the message that God was the Father they never had. That has been our message at home for over 10 years and it was solidified through Joel and Tyra’s testimonies. Dr. Ross's presentations to parents opened so many eyes to how what they were doing was contributing to their teens' behavior. When he says, "What if you did this" and then begins to paint the picture of how it could look, light bulbs went off in the minds of parents."
