Did you know that a church member could actually be the one best-equipped to minister to a person during a time of need?

This study doesn’t pretend to offer the training, supervised practicum, skills, or license to provide expert professional care. What it does promise is to help participants develop a heart of compassion, learn to listen more than talk, and identify the root of a problem. Group members will learn to use the Bible and prayer appropriately and to share the gospel. And they will collectively develop a list of professional referrals in cooperation with your pastoral staff. Leader helps included.

Not completely finished with the study yet, but a few of the very insignificant problems we had with the study are: We are used to having the study days broken down for us so it was a little difficult to take a weekly lesson and find the place to stop for the day. The memory verses are not matched up correctly in the back of the book. We were half way through the study and trying to figure out how the memory verse went with the lesson when I realized they were all backwards i.e. week 1-3 should be weeks 4-6 and visa-versa. The ladies in my group shared openly and were excited to share when they had opportunities to be a trusted friend. Many would come to group stating "I passed the trusted friend test!"
