The HCSB Aplogetics Study Bible has many, many excellent articles defending the authority and accuracy of Scripture, an abundance of helpful study notes, generous print size, a helpful concordance, a thorough index of subjects / articles, a summary of various religions, helpful timelines, archeological information, etc. The text of the Holman Christian Standard Bible is translated in natural English, yet is exceptionally accurate. Thank you B&H for this wonderful study Bible!!! PS - A more expansive concordance would be helpful for a study Bible of this magnitude.

I really enjoy the twisted scriptures section and I also enjoy the apologetic articles are awesome in helping me to udnerstand who I am in Christ.

The Holman Apologetics Study Bible is a unique resource. The study notes are very good and the articles are exceptional. It would be helpful if the verses that the study notes apply to, were in a bolder print. It would also be nice to have more pages to write personal notes on. But, as a whole, the ASB is one of the finest study Bibles available. The large print is very easy on the eyes. The cover and binding appear to be high quality. The subject index and concordance are very helpful. A cross reference system would also have been helpful. The HCSB text is easy to understand and accurate, but the translators overused alternate translations and made some questionable translations (i.e, translating "slaves" instead of "bond servants" in the N.T., Isaiah 53:10, John 11:38-39, etc.). These criticisms aside, this is an exceptional study Bible.

You have no idea how much it pains me to give a Bible 3 stars of a rating. It has nothing to do with the actual Bible and its translation. This Apologetics Bible just fails to live up to its name. The main problem is that it focuses on conflicts within Christian theology, something that I didn''t buy it for. On many controversial and questionable aspects of the Bible, this book remains silent or gives an inadequate explanation. There just isn''t enough apologetic content. I bought this hoping for it to help me reinforce my faith against doubts. However, it only helps some of the time. To me, it was still worth the buy but I hope someone releases a more refined version of this concept.

This is one of the greatest study helps since Ray Comforts Evidence Bible. A tremendous blessing for those active in evangelism. An amazing translation fused with a much needed topic today!!!
