I received the book as a gift and read it within 2 weeks. I have marked and notated things that are applicable to my own experiences. It is simple logic that all churches need to review and see why the church does the things that it does. I recommend this book to ALL church leadership no matter the size, style, or traditions of your church.

It is not a "get rich quick" book with ready made solutions. Dr. Mims makes you search you spirit and mind. Its gets back to the basic teaching of Jesus and the New Testament. I believe all church leaders should read this book. I will encourage the leaders in our church to do so. I could not put the book down, read it ir five days, reading it again.

I picked up this book at a time in my ministry when I was desperatly answers from God as to what our church was to be doing. We are in a stagnit existance and need movement. I found this book very encouraging as a pastor as well as instructional in that when I finished it I felt ready to get back to work and not less qualified to do what God has called me to do.

Mim's led me to a place I did not know I needed to go: the Kingdom of God. Our church has sought a vision for some time and now I know we are seeking a kingdom vision. The truths set forth in this book are liberating for pastor and churches who feel pressured to maintain outdated and outmoded programs and ministries as well as attempting to be all things to all people. This is not a "how-to" manual, but a "why to" manual. Read it, apply it, and live it.
