I was most touched by the "sinners prayer" led by Beth near the conclusion of the study. Having those who already had Jesus in their heart repeat it with her in remembrance of their salvation was the most meaningful prayer I have ever prayed. The entire study was devoted to the need of having Jesus in your heart and it compels one to invite Him in and truly creates a deep love affair with the Savior. Having the privilege of visiting the Holy Land in 1999, I did feel the sand in my sandals as Beth walked us through the study. The music was absolutely beautiful - the line in "Jesus the One and Only" which states "blessed anonymity" certainly reminds us of the humility we must hold. This precious writer is going to have to come with a master piece to top "Jesus the One and Only". I am looking foward to it!

I HAVE TAUGHT IN THE YOUTH DEPT'S AND SINGLE ADULT MINISTRY AND NOW IN THE WOMEN'S MINISTRY LEADERSHIP. THERE WERE VERY MANY EYEOPENING SCRIPTURES THAT WERE EXPLAINED IN A WAY LIKE I HAVE NEVER HEARD BEFORE. This study changed my life like no other. During the course of this study, I grew closer to Jesus and my walk with Him was unspeakably strengthened. I felt like I was walking through the pages of history with Him! The most meaningful part for me was the teaching on the Beatitudes. My husband had been chronically ill for 3 years and 5 months and that lesson taught me to walk through the pain and suffering. I will never forget that, and it made my husband's healing a few weeks later even more the sweeter. Yes, this study is a must-do!

I am 26 and just became a new mom this year, this study has enriched my life. I was able to define and learn more about scripture. Of course God's timing is perfect! I had a conversation with the Almighty ! After all these years I finally got a hold of what I think God has been tring to give me all along, the blessing of delighting in Him. I still have miles to go before I sleep but I'm so glad He has already treaded the miles, I simply follow. I loved this study. It was an eye opener. I have read the book of Luke so many times and never became so intimate with the Lord since I have completed this study. It is a fascinating study that enhances the spiritual growth that any christian is seeking to become more intimate with the Lord. I loved every chapter, every weekly study section. Because of this study I have been more interested in getting to know the Lord more and making Him my all in all. It is an AWESOME study.

I was thirsty for and drank in the life of Jesus through the study of Jesus,the One and Only. In life, what will sustain us and allow us to persevere is Jesus. Whether it be starting that relationship with Him or maturing that relationship with Him--the key will always be Him. He is THE ANSWER. Not merely knowing about Him, but knowing Him well enough that you recognize His hand, His touch and truly feeling so loved and safe that when we fail or when we are victorious, we come running into His presence knowing we will be welcomed in either situation. What a love!! This study endeared me to Him even more than I already was. It let me look at Him right in the face and He looked back with nothing but love and compassion--even though he knows my every sin. And I was so aware of my unworthiness but also keenly aware that because of Him, I am worthy. Glory to God for this work. Beth did an awesome job and I would compliment her if I thought she would accept. I feel her biggest compliment is to know someone was drawn closer to Jesus and He used her as a tool.

I've never had the opportunity to see Jesus from the eyes of his mother and completely understand his walk on this earth a holy spirit in a human body. I also found the overwhelming guilt of how I never really understood the saddness that Jesus felt toward his followers. From that point until now, I have made it my daily prayer and goal in my life to walk as Jesus walked on this earth and try and have the heart that he had. Beth Moore made Jesus come alive (in the form of an earthly person - not just my heavenly savior). I have grown closer to him and have developed a deeper understanding of his word and how he wants me to live my life. This bible study has truly been enriching and life changing. Our women's bible study group started "JESUS, The One and Only" 1 week prior to the 9-11 terriorist attacks. The study is ongoing and has proved to be such a comfort in these troubled times. I love the approach Beth Moore uses to help us expand our Sunday School ideas of Jesus to incorporate more of what we know of the Jewish culture and ideas of that time period thus to be able to better understand the world Jesus came into. I would like to thank Beth for allowing God to use her to get out His message of love and grace. I have no more doubts about my salvation. Some probably never have had doubts but when you are the result of an international marriage, you know that different customs and religions are introduced to you. I am so humbled that the Lord has chosen me to be one of His chosen. One day my mama will be saved. We interacted with His disciples. They were so much like us.Jesus always The Teacher,always God and yet He had human emotions. I love the way Beth points out detailed things about the Lord, helping us to grasp how much He is so personal and real. Beth helps us to look deep with in ourselves and then assures us that we are still loved and can be changed no matter who we are. She also gives such inspiring relating stories of her own life including imperfections that we can relate to, she truely puts Jesus on the throne and us as His loving servants, I thought I loved the Lord before, but now I know I really do with all my heart, soul and mind! Imagining walking with Jesus. Our group all fell more in love with Jesus.The week of the Lord's supper where Jesus took His disciples on a field trip was an opportunity to wash each others feet. Our entire group of 8-10 were all in tears as we imagined Jesus washing our feet. WOW was how one gal expressed it. "Our creator, Savior and King performing such a task! I can't even fathom His love for us to face the ultimate sacrifice! WOW!" Weekly, we thanked God for using Beth, she is a wonderful teacher. The video's are wonderful and so is the CD. The format of Beth Moore' studies are easy to follow, but in depth and full of thought provoking and soul searching questions. This study was by far the most eye-opening study about Jesus and His ministry. The real heart of Jesus is seen and He is made real in my own life through this study. I lead studies for our women at church and in our community and we've done several by Beth Moore. I've tried two other writers and have come back to Beth each time. The Subject is most important, but Beth Moore has just let the Holy Spirit POUR this lucious "pot of honey" through her right into our mouths. Jesus, The One and Only, the study, will be hard to top, but God can and will do it again and I can't wait.

I cannot say enough about what this study has meant to me. I had become so hungry for God's word and a more intimate walk with Him. Praise His name how he knows just what we need!!! A friend began this study on Jesus at her church and the door was opened so stepped in and what a renewal! I always knew I served a wonderful Savior, but oh the joy to feel like I am walking and talking with Him, witnessing His life as never before. We have 2 videos and one week left. I am now on the very last few days of Christ life. Although I know what is to come, I can't wait to view and do the last week, because I know there is victory!!

Jesus the One and Only is precious and truly inspired by God. I thank Him for the gifts He gave to Beth and for her service in sharing them! I love her! This study was my first introduction to the Scriptures since becoming a Christian last year. For me it was "time to know what you know". Through the homework and each session's service with Beth, I got to know Jesus, to love Him! I learned how to have a real relationship with Him. I always heard Beth Moore studies were great so when I chose to lead this study I had a great expectation to get feed through Beth's teachings. I could not wait every day to do my homework! I had read the gospels many times but never really "got it" until this study. This study opened my eyes to things I had never seen in the book of Luke even though I have read it and heard it all of my life. It showed me how to read and and consume it on a more personal level. It also gave me so much detail that I was able to visually see the life of Christ every step of the way as if I was right there with him. I truly completed this study deeper in my intimate relationship with Christ. Everyone in our group felt the same way. We came out refreshed and feeling as if we had developed much more personal relationships with our Lord. No matter what phase you are in in your Christain life this will do nothing but strengthen you more and more. It is a must for every Christian--men and women! This was the first bible study I had ever done and was so nervous about attending. It was about 5 years ago, and through this study the Holy Spirit helped me to fall in love with Jesus and His word. This study was very timely in my life. God is so good in the way that He works. So many things in this study helped me so much in things that were going on in my life during this time. I was just truly amazed and in awe. I want to go through this study with my three adult daughters because I was not the Christian mother and example I should have been and did not teach them a lot of the things in the study. I pray God's continued blessings on Beth Moore and I thank her so much for giving of herself to do these studies. (I think all church leaders should go through this study)

I am only at week 2 day 1 in the study, but so far I have learned to not just read the Bible, but think about what it was like to be those characters, and to say what the bible is saying in a new way. The videos (I am doing the study in a group)are great. I think they rap up the past week and introduce you to the next week wonderfully. They don't really refer to the study much, so you can get a lot out of both. Throughout the first week, I started to stop READING the words of God and started IMAGINING what those people, and even God were thinking and doing. Beth Moore has a way of laughing about things, but also being a great leader to me in the study (along with my group leader, as well)She is so personal with her studies, that it has a way of making you think and imagine. I really enjoy this study, and encourage everyone to join. This was only my first study and hope to do many more.

I did this study last year in my neighborhood. I am 14, 13 at the time. I learned that Jesus was more than God''s Son that I could pray to. He''s my friend, savior, and Lord. I didn''t become born again during the summer when study was done, but in December (because my parents are Catholic and wouldn''t allow it...) I recommend it for any group... even men! It changed my life forever... I went on to get the Patriarchs and will do Breaking Free this summer!! God Bless!!!

this study was totally awesome. Jesus came alive more to me throughout this study than ever in my life. The tapes were totally awesome, so much that I bought a set to listen to. I've listened to the tapes over and over. tapes 4-10 are the best. Beth, you never cease to amaze me, after this one, I've vowed to see all your studies to the end!!

I am a student living in Jerusalem, Israel at this time. Doing this study in this place has been the most incredible experience. As Beth journeyed through Luke and through Israel, I physically journeyed with her. I had the awesome privilige of seeing with my own eyes all that Luke talked about in his gospel. This land is one of the greatest places in the world. What a blessing to see the insights of Beth as I live in this land.

4/30/2001 8:08:02 AM:   Gave me a new perspective on who Jesus is and how He sees me.

This study caused me to look at Jesus "the man" as well as "the Savior". God was made man through Jesus in order to help us believe that He really understands and knows who we are as a person. I have a new perspective on myself because of who Jesus is and this study was the first step in coming to this realization.

please consider offering your workbook material in King James Version I would like very much to use this study in our women's group but our church takes a stand on the version we hold as the word of God and it makes it difficult to introduce this material.
