This is the story of the Keagan family. Henry Keagan is approaching his first Christmas without his wife of many years, and other members of this close-knit family are struggling to accept the loss of their beloved matriarch. The children have decided that getting together for the holidays would help Henry deal with this difficult time. But, alas, family is . . . well . . . family. And with all the love comes a bit of annoying, hilarious, treasured behavior that keeps life interesting.

Woven into this thought-provoking, spiritually insightful drama are special moments that bring much warmth and humor—from a trip to the soup kitchen to welcoming Christmas carolers at the door. A Note About "The Ornament" on the Choral Book Cover:

When the cover of the choral book was designed, Lifeway Worship looked for an ornament that could not only be used in the presentation of this musical, but could also be used as a gift or outreach tool for churches to distribute to their audience members. Anticipating that churches would want to purchase this ornament, a distributor was contacted and was ready to provide it. Recently, however, we've made multiple attempts to contact this distributor with no response, so we can only assume that this ornament will not be available as anticipated. We're just as disappointed about it as you are, and apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. However, the good news is that the ornament pictured on the front cover isn't central to the successful execution of the musical!
