Jesus said: “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age” (Matthew 28:18-20; HCSB).
It is called the Great Commission.
I think of my favorite verse, Acts 4:20 and other verses by the apostle Paul that remind us our calling is “to bring about the obedience of faith among all the nations, on behalf of His name…” (Romans 1:5), and that God has given to us the “ministry of reconciliation” (2 Corinthians 5:18) to be ambassadors for Christ among the people of the world.
Our LifeWay mission trips offer you a ready opportunity to take the ministry of reconciliation to people both in the United States and overseas. I encourage you: Go, and experience the privilege of making known the name of our great Lord and Savior to people waiting to hear Good News.
