Scott Lehman Bio
Scott Lehman’s philosophy on life reflects a man conscious of living life to the fullest rather than merely talking or writing about it.
“My gifts, abilities and experiences have given me a passion to teach golfers how to take their game and life to a higher level.”
Scott is able to utilize his unique combination of golf instruction to illustrate Biblical principles that motivate and challenge audiences to take the next “swing” in their Christian lives. The effortless nature of Scott’s magnetic personality is best displayed when he is on the practice range or speaking to men in local churches.
“I have found my sweet spot in life when I have a golf club in my hands helping golfers to elevate their game of golf and life. By combining these principles I am more effectively pointing others to something far beyond myself.”
Born and raised in Ripon, Wisconsin, Scott began golfing at age 8.
“When I reminisce about playing junior golf, being on the high school golf team or playing amateur golf tournaments, I have such fond memories of the relationships that were built while strolling the fairways.”
Scott Lehman is Founder and President of In His Grip Golf Association and a U.S.G.T.F.
(United States Golf Teaching Federation) certified golf teaching professional. After a career in sports apparel sales, Scott became a golf teaching professional in 1998 and is devoted to his vision of reaching every golfer in every nation with the message of living “In His Grip”. Scott is accomplishing this through sharing his testimony during speaking engagements, conducting clinics and partnering with churches to equip and empower Christian golfers to reach their community for Jesus Christ. Scott has worked with well- known Christian organizations such as Promise Keepers, Youth for Christ, International Bible Society and the Bible Answer Man. Scott is also the co-author of The Master’s Grip, a devotional book published by J. Countryman, a division of Thomas Nelson Inc.
Scott met his future life Leslie while living in San Diego in 1990. They spent most of their four-year courtship apart as both traveled extensively in their respective careers. After ten years of marriage, their time apart was effectively redeemed when they joined forces by working together in the In His Grip Golf Association. The Lehmans are actively involved in their local church and currently reside in Spring Hill, TN.
