Book Review: Hell in a Briefcase

Matt Cooper is a no-nonsense man of action. The head of the world's largest private security firm, Cooper jets cross-country and across the world making sure the rich and powerful stay safe and secure. He is equally comfortable rubbing elbows with heads of state, clandestine CIA agents, CEOs of multi-national corporations, and Hollywood's glitterati.

But when he is invited to Israel by eccentric Christian millionaire George Roberts, Cooper's life takes on an additional intensity. He experiences first-hand the ravages that Jihad has visited on Lebanon's Maronite Christians, and learns that the hatred for anything perceived as 'non-muslim' by an Al-Qaeda splinter group knows no bounds or borders.

Set in the days just prior to the launch of Operation Iraqi Freedom, the plot thickens when Cooper discovers agents from the former Soviet Union have sold eleven nuclear briefcase bombs to the terrorists. The terrorists plan to take the war to American soil in
order to break the will of the American people prior to the invasion of Iraq. It's Cooper's job to make sure that doesn't happen.

But somewhere in his organization there is a mole, leaking word of his every move. To make matters worse, Cooper's teenage daughter is in the midst of an emotional breakdown while his girlfriend is having her own crisis of faith.

Author Phil Little keeps the action hot, the emotions flaring, and the pages turning in this post-cold war thriller. Fans of Tom Clancy and Robert Ludlum will dig it.
