In 2005, LifeWay partnered with Jason Cruise, founder of Outdoor Ministry Network, with a vision to provide a real adventure for 30 men looking for more in both heart and soul. There’s a cliché that comes to mind, “Who woulda thought? 33 men showed up, coming from Maine to Arizona!
Our desire was to fish the rustic waters of New Mexico in the morning, and then work on our hearts at night during the bible conference. All of that happened, and then some. Men left there with some super fishing memories, renewed hearts, and newly formed life-long friendships.
So in 2006, we thought we’d be bold and open it up to 50 adventure seekers. Well, it sold out quickly! So we opened up a Monday-Wednesday conference. Which means there was a whole week devoted to adventure seeking fisherman. Since Glorieta Adventure has been so successful, we have now expanded this great event to LifeWay's Ridgecrest Conference Center, near Asheville, NC for 2007.

Bible Study Leader and Event Coordinator:
Jason Cruise will be our guide as we trek into the High Country together. He’s the founder of Outdoor Ministry Network, a ministry that trains churches across the nation in how to set up ministries for men who love to hunt and fish. As a Broadman & Holman author, Jason travels the nation speaking to groups of men about the spiritual aspects of the outdoors.
