CORE CONFERENCES

Women’s Ministry Basics – Part 1: Why Have a Women’s Ministry
Do we have a responsibility to reach the women in our sphere of influence? Do you have a heart to disciple other women? Scripture mandates that we are to touch the lives of others as we mentor, witness, and teach. God is working mightily among women today. Are you ready to join Him? Discuss how women’s ministry can reach and disciple women for Christ, as well as benefit the body of local believers.

Women’s Ministry Basics – Part 2: Steps to Beginning a Women’s Ministry
Where do you start when God calls you to begin a ministry with women, or re-establish an existing one? Discuss the steps for planning a well-balanced ministry by using Bible Study, discipleship, fellowship, ministry, worship, evangelism, and missions.

Women’s Ministry Basics – Part 3: Resources for Women’s Ministry
Review the many different types of resources for you and for the women in your ministry. Learn about print and video resources, enrichment events, web-based resources, as well as “free” resources for leaders. Plus, learn where to go to find what you need to help women become more like Christ.

Woman to Woman Mentoring Track – Parts 1, 2, and 3 (Essential to attend all 3 parts)
Truly A Saint, Super Mom, or Grace Abounds — Who fulfills the Titus 2:3-5 instruction: spiritually older women teach and train the spiritually younger women? Learn the answer to that question, as well as how to start a mentoring ministry in your church. Janet Thompson, author of Woman to Woman Mentoring: How To Start, Grow, and Maintain a Mentoring Ministry and founder of Saddleback Church’s Woman to Woman Mentoring Ministry, and co-trainer Jane Crick, who helped grow and lead Saddleback’s Woman to Woman Mentoring Ministry, incorporate practical “whys & how to’s” training, drama, video, and a Mentoring Moment at dinner to mentor you from their own joys and tribulations of starting and leading a mentoring ministry. This is a 3-part track and each session builds on the next, so plan to attend all three sessions.

Releasing the Real You – Part 1, Personality Plus: Our Unique Design
Explore our unique personality tendencies that impact our relationships and how we interact with others. Discover the real you and how knowledge of this can add pizzazz, personal possibilities, and the ability to counteract possible conflicts.

Releasing the Real You – Part 2, Spiritual Gifts: Our Leverage in Living and Leading
A look at our personal spiritual gifts and how they are designed to enable us to fulfill God’s purpose for our life. It is through accessing the power of these God-given abilities that we are able to stand up in the midst of challenges and conflicts of daily leadership and life.

Releasing the Real You – Part 3, Pass It On: Our Life Story Impacting Others
An up-close and personal, thought provoking time of exploring how our HIStory becomes a catalyst for encouraging others to take hold of these incredible realities in their life and ministry, continually passing them on.

Destination Disciple – Part 1, The Journey: Helping Women Connect
As a leader of adult women, our goal is to lead women to become spiritually balanced disciples. Spiritual growth occurs incrementally and concurrently as women interact with biblical concepts. Discover the outside factors that are influencers in each woman’s personal and practical life experiences that may cause her to become stuck in her journey. This session highlights the importance of connecting with God — with passion, prayer, intelligence, and energy and building positive, long-lasting relationships that bring needed support to reach the destination of being a spiritually balanced disciple.

Destination Disciple – Part 2, The Climb: Helping Women Grow
We know spiritual growth is important, but how do we grow? What can only God do and what responsibility does He place upon us? How do we measure personal spiritual growth? Explore these and other important questions and discover the keys to lasting spiritual growth. Consider the vital importance of authentic-open relationships, exposure to biblical truth and accountability in the divine growth process. Discuss ways to help women move beyond a program to a lifelong process, more effective use of resources, and ideas for creating a culture of continuous transformation.

Destination Disciple – Part 3, The Expedition: Helping Women Serve & Go
In Philippians 1:21 Paul declares, “To live is Christ, and to die is gain.” To serve the Body of Christ and to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ is a call placed upon every believer. How would women’s lives change in the day-to-day routine, in the church, and in the workplace if we really lived out the biblical precept, “to live is Christ?” The church needs women to understand the God-given call placed on their lives and to respond to the call with obedience. Not only does the church need women to serve, but a dying world needs us to share the Gospel with passion, conviction, and urgency. Women must learn to serve inside and outside of the church. Explore how to encourage and inspire the women in our ministries to serve, go, and live like Christ.

Ministering to Women in Crisis – Part 1: Reached and Renewed
God’s Word tells us that the only thing that matters is faith expressing itself through love. Statistics reveal glaring truth about the many forms of crisis and suffering that women struggle with in our society today. Divorce, illness, abortion, prodigal children, eating disorders, infertility, violence, and more fill not only our street but our pews. God wants to use women to reach out to other women. This workshop considers how to reach women in crisis and what do with the brokenness they bring! Warning: Chocolate is involved!

Ministering to Women in Crisis – Part 2: Restored and Refreshed
God has a great adventure planned specifically for every woman, but it starts with understanding who He is and who we are because of Him. The enemy has no other strategy than to lie to women and keep them in shadows of the past, pain of the present, and fear of the future. This workshop shows how to beat him at his own game, and focuses on ways to provide an environment of healing, acceptance, love, and light that no devil dares to darken!

Ministering to Women in Crisis – Part 3: Redeemed and Released
Free women help to free other women! When a woman understands from where she came, she is free to see more clearly where she is going and see how God can use her life and her story for His Glory. This workshop unveils God’s plan for using women who are healed and whole to reach out to others. These women are your future leaders, Bible study teachers, and ministry teams. This session looks at how to transition women from crisis to calling!

Girls Ministry Basics – Part 1: The Who, the What, and the Why
What is Girls' Ministry? Who are these girls? And why are we trying to reach them? This conference helps you define the scope of girls' ministry, understand the needs of teen girls, and answer the question about why girls' ministry is so critical in the local church.

Girls' Ministry Basics – Part 2: The When, Where, and How
When and where should girls' ministry take place? And how do you start and maintain the ministry? This conference is an overview of basic steps in beginning and growing a girls' ministry and how it fits into the larger church body and student ministry.

Girls' Ministry Basics – Part 3: Teen girls and Spiritual Growth
Let's face it. Today's teen girls approach their relationship with God from a different place than girls in previous generation. This conference helps you understand how to maximize your efforts to equip teen girls to grow in their faith.

BREAKOUTS

Team That Jesus Built – Part 1 and 2 (essential to attend both parts):
There are numerous theories and books on leadership and team building, but Janet Thompson and Jane Crick have learned that none surpass the example of Jesus and His team building skills. Using the gospel of Mark and Janet's chapter in Women Reaching Women, Janet and Jane provide practical and proven ways to develop a team of laywomen with hearts to serve and to equip them to lead their own teams. This is a 2-part track and the second session builds on the first, so plan to attend both sessions.

Post Abortion Ministry
Learn how to start a Post Abortion Healing Ministry in your church and develop a step by step action plan for reaching the women in your community with healing restoration from a past abortion. Surrendering the Secret is a Post Abortion Recovery program published by Lifeway to empower, encourage, and equip you to reach the mission field created by abortion in your community.

Engaging The Younger Woman In Ministry
Everyday young adult women are being discipled by culture, rather than by the unchanging Word of God. Many young adult women feel isolated, disengaged, and overlooked in the context of the local church. They are single, married, and in all the stages in between, and they are in desperate need of you! As we study Scripture together, become encouraged to engage young women in your current ministry to women. This workshop includes Biblical teaching on the importance and the how-tos of discipling young women, a group discussion, personal testimonies on how to involve young women in leadership, and a look at official LifeWay research on young adults. Leave with practical application for your current ministry as it relates to this influential generation God is raising up!

A Leader's Life & Legacy
A look at the life of the longtime women’s ministry leader, encompassing her personal intimacy with Christ, relationships with peers and how she is commanded to continue to equip and grow her leadership team from the life lessons God is teaching her. Also look at some of the difficult scenarios that arise with established leadership, handling discrepancies in the lifestyle of a leader, holding leaders to commitment, and developing a team to be cross cultural and culturally engaging in today’s world.

Pursuing Holiness as a Godly Leader
"But just as He who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: "Be holy, because I am holy." (1 Peter 1:15) Do you know how to pursue holiness in the perverse world in which we live? What is God's part in this pursuit? And what is our responsibility? Take a realistic look at our world by diving into the pursuit of holiness, and learn how to model a holy life to the women in our churches. Concludes with a time of reflection and direction.

Simple Women's Ministry for 21st Century Churches
Has your church restructured and left you asking the question, "where does women's ministry fit in?" Relax, help is on the way. This breakout offers a SIMPLE four-step ministry design you can implement within cell-based, small group church structures.

Welcome to the Hive: The Dynamics of Girls' Groups
