Dr. Wayne A. Barber - Conference Pastor
Dr. Barber has pastored churches in KY, MS, TN, and currently, New Mexico, where he is senior teaching pastor at Hoffmantown Church in Albuquerque. Dr. Barber is an avid outdoorsman who often incorporates sports illustrations into teaching the Bible. He and his wife have two grown children and two grandchildren.

Mike Harland - Conference Worship Leader
Director of LifeWay | Worship, Mike Harland is a former associate pastor of music at First Baptist Church, Carrolton, Texas. Mike has published more than 150 songs and produced numerous choral music projects. He and his family reside in Franklin, Tenn.

Gary Mathena - Conference Choir Director
Gary has been the worship pastor at Valley Baptist Church in Bakersfield, Calif., for 18 years. His choir is featured on the new LifeWay | Worship choral collection, Joy in the House and on the upcoming Christmas release for 2008, The Splendor of Christmas.

| Paul Gilchrist - Conference Orchestra Director
Paul directed high-school orchestras for 22 years and then served for more than 10 years as associate pastor of instrumental music at First Baptist Church in Carrollton, Texas, before moving to Nashville to pursue writing/arranging.

Bryce Dooley - Student Choir Director
Bryce has directed numerous youth ministries ranging from 15 to 120 students. He is currently the worship pastor at Oakwood Baptist Church in New Braunfels, Texas.

| Teresa Harland - Children's Choir Director
Teresa has worked with children’s choirs for more than 20 years, and she’s led the choir for the Children's Music Series recordings for the past three years.

These fees cover class materials, faculty, and the use of facilities for everyone, including children and preschoolers.

Monday, July 14 - PraiSing 08 Featuring The Singing Churchwomen of Oklahoma
Join the celebration! PraiSing ’08 is an event that will reflect on our heritage while showcasing exciting new resources for worship. Come experience the many different elements of worship music available from the new LifeWay Worship Project. Participants will receive a copy of the brand-new Baptist Hymnal, and Mike Harland will lead the congregation in hymns and worship songs from the Worship Project. Let’s make some new music memories as we sing as a congregation, learn about this ground-breaking worship resource through a short documentary, and worship with an amazing state convention choir at each location.

The Singing ChurchWomen of Oklahoma was organized in 1989. This 460-voice choir has grown in number and spiritual commitment to reach their state and the world with the message of Jesus Christ through music. They’ve performed at numerous occasions, including PraiSing ’91 in Nashville, Tenn.

Considered to be one of the premier trumpet players in America, Dan is a studio musician, engineer, and producer in Nashville, Tenn. Dan has performed in churches and concert halls across America and many other countries.
