This online, interactive study allows you to study the essence of the Seven Realities of Experiencing God, as introduced by Henry Blackaby in the original Experiencing God - Member Book. Through watching the video and completing the workbook for each lesson, you will be challenged with biblical examples, and self-examination, to test your ability to experience God in your life. Each of the seven lessons will only take you about 30 minutes to complete!

After each video presentation, you will complete an online interactive workbook exercise for each of the seven realities. There is nothing additional to purchase.

To get the most out of Experiencing God Online, share your spiritual growth with others. The Experiencing God Online Community discussion boards are a designated members-only area of the LifeWay Community where participants in the Experiencing God Online study can exchange study insights and questions.

How the Study Works:

During each of the seven 30-minute lessons, participants will view a video introducing them to one of the realities. After each video, students will complete an online interactive workbook designed to probe further into the reality introduced during the video. Participants may then choose to complete any or all of the three devotions available after each lesson as well as review a powerful testimony related to each lesson. As you view each video presentation, complete each accompanying lesson, and finish each optional devotion, you will be learning and applying these seven realities to your life.

The study is designed for you to complete one 30-minute lesson (which includes the video introduction and workbook) as well as bonus content (which includes three follow-up devotionals and one testimony) per week. Due to the flexibility of an online study, you may certainly go at your own pace!

Where Do I Start?

If you're participating, just come back to this Web site (www.lifeway.com/eg) to log in. There are no additional materials to purchase.

After completing each video session, read the online workbook and print out the workbook questions, in order to learn how you can apply each reality to your life. (Either click "print workbook" and take it with you or view and listen to the workbook online). If you want to dig even deeper in your study, consider the three optional devotionals for each of the seven lessons.

The Experiencing God Online Community serves as an opportunity to share your study experience with others from all over the world. The Community has several moderators, who serve to facilitate discussion among participants. This area also allows you to post general topics of discussion that will be open so other Experiencing God Online participants can respond.

The Online Bible Reference Library is available to enhance your study experience and provide further understanding of God's Word.

The Experiencing God Online study uses streaming video on the Internet for each of the Seven lessons. The video for each lesson is approximately 7-10 minutes in length. A high-speed connection works best for highest quality viewing, but typical dial-up modem speed (56K) should also deliver good quality. The Workbook and Bonus Materials include audio in addition to text. If you're unsure about which media option is right for you, use our System Check.

About Sal Sberna

For the last nine years, Sal Sberna has served as Lead Pastor at The Metropolitan Baptist Church (better known as The Met) in Houston, Texas. He has had different ministry experiences both in and out of the church over the past 24 years that have led him and his family from Texas to Florida, California, and back to Texas again.

Sal and his wife Kristi have two children and frequently speak together in conferences and retreats. They especially enjoy speaking about family issues and developing intimacy with God. Sal and Kristi together share a love of the outdoors and both are avid fly fishermen.

Sal first began leading people through Experiencing God in 1991, and since that time he has lead many men's groups and couples through the principles taught in Experiencing God. This has helped people to experience a deeper, more intimate relationship with God, find their life purpose, and experience the joy that comes when service is given out of an overflow of an abundant life.
