Over the past several years, the architects at LifeWay's Church Architecture Department have reinvented the process of master planning to make it a much more relevant and helpful part of planning church facilities. Balancing the elements of good church growth planning and applying proven principles of church financial planning have already helped hundreds of churches plan more appropriate buildings, while leading them to capture the full potential of their situation.

This new approach to master planning is based on providing phased construction of space for all age groups in the education programs of the church, doing so in financially manageable steps, creating a plan that is extremely practical and balanced. Capacities for worship, education, parking, and other uses are appropriately balanced to meet the church's long-term goals in a plan that is paced by the growth in attendance. Phases of development are determined by financial feasibility, coupled with growth and program analysis.

Services
You can receive master planning services from LifeWay Church Architecture at various levels, depending on your needs and purpose in the project. Three levels of service are available for churches of every size. All levels begin with a consultation visit and include a phased plan for the stewardship of the church's property.

"Basic" Scope of Services
This first level of services consists of the essential elements of planning necessary for virtually any church anticipating a construction project. It consists of:

• The consultation visit by one of our specialist consultants,
• The master site plan,
• An artist's color rendering of how the proposed project will look.

This package of services will guide your construction project in the right direction to attain your mission objectives, while preparing you to promote the project to your congregation.

"Advanced" Services
The second level of master planning services is designed for churches that desire an even more in-depth approach to planning. Tailored to the specific needs of your project, it usually involves multiple consultation visits, additional artist's renderings of various aspects of the project, and more detailed studies and renderings of later phases of development.

"Enhanced" Services
The highest level of service is designed for medium-to-large congregations that desire an enhanced approach to presenting their planning concepts. At this level, churches may choose from a variety of graphic and presentation techniques such as computer modeling, a video virtual tour of the proposed facility, and a physical model. These enable the people of the church to visualize the future and add excitement to your project not possible through conventional two-dimensional presentations. LifeWay provides church growth planning in all 50 states and Canada. Architectural services are limited to states where LifeWay and/or its employees are licensed. While this includes most states, architectural services cannot be offered without appropriate licensing.
