Living Proof Live for Ministers' Wives
There is only one word that comes to mind when I think about the Living Proof Live for Ministers' Wives event at Two Rivers Baptist Church on March 13 & 14, 2009 – WOW!
What an incredible event! Beth Moore shared a unique message just for the 1,300+ ministers’ wives on “Six Little Words” from the book of Galations. The crowd represented women from 40+ states, Japan, Canada and Haiti. It was a precious time for ministers' wives to get renewed, refreshed and have some time with the Lord. The ladies loved the blog comments from other pastor’s wives, the “pick a hymn” segment and the time at the altar on Saturday.
Below are just a few of the testimonies from the weekend:
“We could feel the prayer support and love that went into this event. I can truthfully say it was one of the most powerful and meaningful events I have ever attended – and I’ve been to them ALL! We are still rejoicing – quoting things we learned – emailing – blogging – Facebooking – calling – texting – it’s WILD! The pre-conference “Between Us” was right on, and the speakers were great. I attended “Laugh a Little for Crying Out Loud,” “Balancing Act,” and “Armed and Dangerous.” They were so very good. Beth Moore and Travis Cottrell are joys to my heart. They blessed everyone so much with the messages and the music. Thank you also for the gifts, the bag and the books. That was icing on the cake!”
“I needed this weekend. It has been an oasis for my soul.”
“This has been a great time for me. I needed to get out of town for a while and have some time to be refreshed and renewed. I get so tired and beaten down and this was a wonderful time of worship and reconnection with my Savior!”
“I attended the preconference “Between Us Minister’s Wives” Conference and the Living Proof Ministers’ Wives’ Conference in Nashville, this past week. I want to let you know that this event was absolutely wonderful. The worship experiences, the opportunities to network with other pastor’s wives, and to hear from the speakers that you lined up were all enriching and valuable. I would encourage you to provide more opportunities for minister’s wives to engage in events like that in Nashville. Thank you for a great weekend.”
“It was such a blessing to be with co-laborers in Christ. Beth spoke of such pertinent needs for women/wives in ministry. She allowed us to be real, to be ourselves and to share and laugh in the things we have in common. Thank you.”
“I came in feeling like a total misfit without a purpose in the church besides supporting my husband. I left with a refreshed spirit and love for the One who has called me to live an extraordinary life!”
“I wish I had the words to explain how much both the Between Us and LPL event meant to me. I have had a hard time recently dealing with many aspects of ministry and this event came at the perfect time. It was great to be around other minister’s wives which gave comfort that I’m not alone, and to hear their stories. The greatest things I took from the events were: At the pre-conference, during one of the panels one leader said, “you are the perfect minister’s wife for that church at that time” and Beth Moore said you are “chosen by God, Have holy fit.” I definitely needed to hear that being a city girl in a country church with some rough kids. I came to the event thinking I was a “life long misfit” and left knowing God has a purpose for me being there, even if I don’t understand it right now.”
(From an event volunteer) “I really can’t explain the soul earthquake that the message and the precious women had on me. Expected to be there to serve. Didn't expect to receive. Still overwhelmed.”
(From a Women’s ministry leader in Louisiana who brought her church staff wives and served as an event volunteer) – “Our staff wives are still on a high! Every part was better and better! It was a joy to be able to meet their needs by bringing them. It was just too good for words! And so fun to see all my sweet sisters!”
Thank you Two Rivers Baptist Church for hosting us and thank you to the Nashville team for your many prayers and hard work. Thank you awesome volunteers! It was such a blessing and joy to serve along side you.
