LifeWay Women Video Feature
A Visit to Modern Purim
From Esther: It's Tough Being a Woman Leader Kit by Beth Moore
Video Description
In Israel today, Purim is celebrated with fun-filled festivals in a carnival atmosphere. Celebrations include parades, music, junk food, and children dressed in costumes of their favorite superhero or princess! The actual day of Purim is a holiday from school, so kids attend neighborhood parties where the book of Esther is read, gifts are exchanged, and everyone enjoys the special pastry called Hamantashen (Haman's Ears). You can find a Haman's Ears cookie recipe on page 224 of your Esther Member Book.
Beth Moore and the LifeWay video crew went to Jerusalem and got right in the middle of the festivities. "A Visit to Modern Purim" is one of the Extras on your Esther DVD set. Use the video from Disc 6 to kick off one of your weekly group sessions this month or as a part of the promotion for a future group study.
Note: This video is not available as a download. You can only view it here. To use this video feature in your church you will need Esther: It's Tough Being a Woman Kit.
