Mission Event:
In 2009, the LifeWay team will be in Byumba and will be working with Rwandans, Ugandans and Kenyan to reach the lost and plant churches in an area where there are no churches. They will be working with national pastors and interpreters. The team members will be engaging in one-on-one evangelism as they share the gospel message with evangelistic flip charts, tracts, and their personal testimonies in the huts of the villages and along the paths.

  • Rwanda, called  the land of a thousand hills, is the most densely populated country in Africa with 10.1 million people.
  • Located in east-central Africa, Rwanda is most known for the 1994 genocide where nearly 1 million people were killed.
  • French and English are official languages of Rwanda with Kinyarwanda being the most prominent; Swahili is used in some areas.
