2009 LifeWay Mission Trip to Russia

Mission Event:
The LifeWay team will be working with an IMB virtual strategy coordinator. The team will be working in a school giving assistance to the teachers and establishing relationships with the students as they seek to share the gospel. The team will be making pre-arranged house visits to students and participating in an evangelistic small group.  A visa is required for entrance into Russia.

• Russia is the largest country in terms of area and is home to over 140 million people.
• Novokuznetsk is home to approximately 600,000 people. 
• The city is a major industrial center in the mineral-rich Kuznetsk basin.
• The area is estimated to be less than 1% evangelical Christian and has only two Baptist churches.
• The main language is Russian with many minority languages.
• The average temperature in July ranges from low 60’s to low 80’s.
