Miss PattyCake Set to Release Christmas DVD

Written by Staff

Jean Thomason’s Miss PattyCake is a beloved children’s character who wears many hats.  She is a friend and “mentor” to children around the world, as well as a well-known author and speaker who has been featured at numerous conferences. In Miss PattyCake’s latest endeavor, she communicates the message of Jesus’ birth in a fresh way with the release of the upcoming DVD, “Miss PattyCake’s Christmas.”  The first-ever Christmas project from Miss PattyCake is set to hit stores on Oct. 30, 2007.

Following the substantial impact made by her partnership with FamilyLife Ministries on the Easter hit “Eggstravaganza,” Miss PattyCake partners once again with the highly respected, nationwide family ministry this Christmas. Using FamilyLife’s children’s resource, “What God Wants for Christmas,” an interactive, kid-friendly nativity box set, the Miss PattyCake’s Christmas DVD will bring the Christmas story wrapped in music to toddlers, preschoolers and their families.

The Miss PattyCake’s Christmas interactive DVD explores the true message of the season, by teaching kids that God has given us the greatest gift of all – His Son. Miss PattyCake is joined on the project by animated characters Colonel Tick-Tock and Amazing Grace. This DVD will also introduce a new live character, Mr. HandyMan.

Thomason has captured the hearts and attention of children by developing the character of Miss PattyCake with her friend Nancy Gordon, a songwriter and mother from Mobile, Ala. More than 12 years ago, out of a deep vision within their “mother’s hearts,”  these women created a way to teach little children about God’s love through simple, rhyming praise songs, Bible story songs, games and activities. Over the years that Thomason has spent as the Miss PattyCake character, she has created a genuine bond with the children and parents who know and love her

“There is an incredible need for parents to have solid teaching tools that share the truth and hope found in Jesus,” Thomason said. “It is my calling and passion to create songs and products that will teach little ones, encourage parents with their child’s spiritual education and help families have a Biblical world-view.”

The ultimate goal of Miss PattyCake is to plant seeds of faith in children at their most impressionable ages.
