Marriage Impact is the premier marriage event inviting couples to experience exciting outdoor adventures combined with powerful Bible-study and inspirational worship. Couples can select from a fantastic list of recreational adventures, from whitewater rafting to scaling a 40-ft. climbing wall. There’s plenty of more relaxing options as well, with canoeing, horseback riding, and mountain biking. And just wait until you see the hiking trails at Ridgecrest. Ridgecrest’s thick mountain laurel cascades over parts of the trails forming a lush umbrella to walk under, while Rattlesnake Lookout offers a spectacular view of the North Carolina horizon. Then return to your room each evening to relax with a couples devotional, turndown service and our special amenities chosen just for you.

Each couple is responsible for customizing their weekend of activities based on their preference and cost, and they are responsible for contacting the vendors to make their reservation(s) for that adventure options. Remember, there are free options available on campus as well.
Meaningful Worship
Marriage Impact loves to see couples experience the excitement of recreational adventures together. But understand one thing – our most important goal is to see couples grow deeper in their relationship with Jesus Christ. Morning Bible studies and evening praise and worship sessions are carefully planned to encourage couples in their spiritual growth, with plenty of time to fellowship with other Christians from around the nation.

Ric and Cindy Cadle
Pastor Ric Cadle has worked in ministry for over ten years. He has been on staff at Graceland Baptist Church since 2001 where he is currently serving as Family Life Pastor. Much of his time during the week involves marriage counseling and working with couples who want to improve their relationships with their spouse. Pastor Ric has built ministry teams in several different ministry areas ranging from Men's Ministry to Adult Bible Fellowship leadership teams and classes. His passion for evangelism and his love for people have taken him from being a multi-business owner to a full-time servant in ministry. Ric has spoken at many different conferences and leads marriage retreats and leadership seminars throughout the states on an annual basis. This is the fourth year he is leading one of our Marriage Impact events at Ridgecrest and we are always pleased when their schedule will allow them to lead. You will be blessed. Come and see!
His excitement about the purpose God has for every person's life is contagious. Ric lives in New Albany, Indiana with his wife, Cindy and three children, Michelle, B.J. and Corrin.
Russell and Kristi Johnson to lead Worship and Praise Music in May & July
Russell and Kristi Johnson have won the hearts of every couple that have attended this marriage retreat and will be leading praise and worship for our May and July events. You will fall in love with their authenticity, honesty and their love for God and others. They combine wonderful gifts in music and in sharing Biblical truths with today’s couples.
Husband and wife duo Russell and Kristi Johnson love what they do! This dynamic duo has been in full-time music for more than a decade. Today, Russell and Kristi travel the country with their unique style of Christian music, worship and praise. Together they share the transforming message of Christ's love.
Although Russell and Kristi grew up in the same town they didn't begin dating until college and were married a year later. They have a son, Will, who is 7 and a 3 year-old daughter named Sidney. Get to know them and you'll see for yourself that Russell and Kristi are a match made in heaven - in their marriage, their music and their ministry. They share the conviction that God has put them together to bring Christ to others and to encourage the Church.
Carlee and Sean Ragains to Lead Worship and Praise Music in August
Carlee Ragains is back this year for our August Marriage Impact event leading the music during our Praise and Worship times. You will certainly enjoy talent and joy that Carlee brings to leading worship. Carlee has her Master of Church Music from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, KY with a concentration on voice. She graduated Cum Laude in May of 2000. This gifted Christian servant is currently the Worship Associate to Keith Martin at Graceland Baptist Church in New Albany, Indiana where she has served since 1997.
My purpose in ministry is to encourage, facilitate and teach about corporate and personal worship; to exhort the Body of Christ at large, as well as the church locally; to write songs that exalt the Name of Jesus and usher people into personal, life-changing worship of God; to proclaim the Gospel and bring glory to God, through excellence in the use of the arts (music, dance, drama); and to train and equip others, through discipleship and mentoring, to do the same.”
