Since its beginning in 1851, Carson-Newman has been entrusted with the great responsibility of educating students and preparing them for meaningful service in the world. Located in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains in Jefferson City, Tennessee, Carson-Newman has been recognized by U.S. News and World Report as being a "great school at a great price." Our approximately 1900 undergraduate students and 130 graduate students come from 44 different states and 20 foreign countries and are able to choose from more than 50 undergraduate majors and six graduate programs. With a student-faculty ration of 13:1 and an average class size of 16, students at Carson-Newman learn in an environment that is challenging yet supportive.
We have incredible opportunities for involvement in campus activities including honor societies, religious, service, student government, and pre-professional organizations. More than half the student body is involved in ministry, community service, or mission activities.
Are you a sports fan? C-N has nationally recognized teams in football, men’s and women’s soccer, volleyball, baseball, soccer, men’s and women’s basketball, golf, tennis, track, cross country, softball, wrestling, cheerleading and dance. Even if you’re not a varsity athlete, you can enjoy more than 40 intramural events each year.
Carson-Newman just might be the place for you!
