How to Use Our Promotional Materials

All print promotion materials are PDF files and may look blurry on a computer screen; they will, however, print clearly. They should work with PC or Macintosh platforms, and can be e-mailed, printed, faxed, or mailed, depending on media preferences.

To use these materials, provide your local printing company with:

  • the downloaded pdf files
  • a copy of these instructions
  • your customized information to be placed in the promotion

Your local printing company should be able to follow the instructions, but in the event that additional assistance is needed, please contact Sid Sawyer at (615) 251-3984, and he will work with your vendor to provide technical support and/or files compatible with the vendor's system.

Suggestions are made below for the information to be included in a promotional item.

Church Bulletin Inserts
Open the file with the church bulletin inserts. Customized information should be centered in the space provided and include the following information:

  • The date of your introductory session
  • The time of your study (for example, "Tuesday evenings, 6 p.m.")
  • Where you will be hosting the event/location (your sanctuary, fellowship hall, etc.)
  • Name of your church (and possibly the city name, if members are encouraged to hand out bulletins or if a neighboring church would like to inform their members)
  • Optional space allows you to include any tie-in events, such as luncheons, kick-off receptions, or a study-themed women's retreat
  • Church contact information, including a telephone number
  • Ask your congregation to "give away" the insert to someone they know outside of church. Consider inviting other churches to use this bulletin insert in their congregations to reach others in your community who may be interested in the study.

Posters
This file will print posters with a maximum size of 11 x 17 inches. Ample space has been provided for customizing:

  • The date of your introductory session
  • The time of your study (for example, "Tuesday evenings, 6 p.m.")
  • Where you will be hosting the event/location (your sanctuary, fellowship hall, etc.)
  • Name of your church (and possibly the city name, if members are encouraged to hand out posters or if a neighboring church would like to inform their members)
  • Church contact information, including a telephone number
  • In addition to your church, you may want to obtain permission to post these in local businesses that are frequented by women (coffeehouse, spa/salon, gym, grocery store, bookstore, doctor's office, etc.).

Bookmarks
Bookmarks may be printed on your color printer without any additional assistance from a vendor - simply download the file. Using a landscape "Page Setup" setting, an 8.5- x 11-inch sheet of card stock can print up to four bookmarks. Consider laminating the bookmarks for extra durability.

Use the bookmarks to encourage women to join the study or give them to each participant at the introductory session. The bookmarks could also serve as conversational "invitations" for women's ministry leaders to distribute within their respective ministries.
