The Nine Percent Fraud

Now the truth is out. The "fact" that 10% of our population is homosexual is a myth. Worse than a myth, it's a self-conscious, nine percent fraud.

Time magazine, referring to the work of the Battelle Human Affairs Research Centers in Seattle, says that "the study, one of the most thorough reports on male sexual behavior ever, found that only 1% of the 3,321 men surveyed said they considered themselves exclusively homosexual." {1}

The 10% number, it turns out, was a phantom figure spoken into being by homosexual activists and justified by distorted conclusions from the now outdated Kinsey report of the 1940's. Every wire service in the country picked it up. It was quoted by newsmen, communicators, radio talk-show hosts, educators, school-board administrators, and politicians like holy writ.

Entire "re-education" programs and "sensitivity" projects were based on it. Los Angeles Unified School District's "Project Ten" seized upon the 10% number to justify funding for special counseling programs, encouraging homosexuality as a statistically normal sexual variation.

Programs like this were paid for by your tax dollars. They were designed to ram homosexuality down your throats and down the throats of your children. It's all been a fraud, a complete fiction, and a lie. Worse, many of those who used those statistics knew it.

"New Evidence suggests that ideology, not sound science, has perpetuated a 1-in-10 myth," Newsweek reports. "Some gay activists now concede that they exploited the Kinsey estimate for its tactical value, not its accuracy. 'We used that figure when most gay people were entirely hidden to try to create the impression of our numerousness,' says Tom Stoddard, former head of the Lambda Legal Defense Fund." {2}

Some still won't surrender the fraud. Time reports that "The San Francisco-based magazine 10 Percent , a national quarterly devoted to gay culture, made it clear it had no intention of changing its name." {3} This is just another way of saying, "We don't care about the facts. We have an agenda." But if you live by statistics, you must be willing to die by them, too. The 10% myth should have died long ago.

Even if the 10% figure was accurate it proves nothing. Frequent practice doesn't make an act moral. If it did, religious hypocrisy would be a legitimate alternative, not a vice, as long as enough people qualified. Popular consent isn't adequate, either. Goodness isn't determined by Gallup; moral principle must stand on a more reliable foundation than public whim.

The Truth is Out

So, the next time someone says, "Everyone knows 10% of the population is homosexual," you say, "Wrong, everyone knows this statistic is a fraud. Where have you been?"

Tell them Time and Newsweek have already exposed those statistics as a fraud. Even they were Johnny-come-latelys. Conservatives have known this for years, because reliable statistics have been available for a long time.

Tell them that every "Project Ten" around the country will have to be called "Project One."

Tell them that the 10% number is a distortion of an outdated and errant report by Kinsey propogated by homosexual extremists who maliciously misled the public, and perpetuated by a press who cared more about ideology than facts.

You tell them it's a fraud, because it is.
