Between Us Ministers' Wives
Between Us is an event created specifically for the unique needs and challenges of ministers’ wives. Be inspired and get equipped for your role as you learn from and mingle with other ministers’ wives who can speak into the pressures related to being a woman in ministry. You’ll leave knowing that you’ve been empowered to continue the incredible journey to which God has called your family. Each Between Us Conference is conveniently held the Thursday and Friday before a Living Proof Live Event so you can benefit from both! Read more at http://www.lifeway.com/event/?id=254.
As a women's leader, you are probably well aware of the unique needs that ministers' wives have. In fact, you may wear both of those hats at your church! Whatever the case, we've got some online resources for the minister's wife that we hope will help you.
Online Community
Ministers' wives are gathering online to discuss their unique thoughts, joys and struggles with each other.
Leighann McCoy shares: When I first read the words Online Community my thoughts were, “will this work?” When I was invited to Lifeway to learn how to be a moderator for their online ministers’ wives community I’d never even posted a prayer request on my church’s site, much less joined any kind of online discussion group. For goodness sake, I still pay my bills with paper checks, envelopes and stamps! What was I doing on an online community?
But, I liked the idea. I may not know what she looks like, where she lives or how many attended Sunday School at her church last Sunday—but she will never tell sister so and so that I said that. She may have actually “been there and done that before and know how I feel.”
I love these women! They gather from all over the world to participate in the 21st century version of sharing a cup of tea (sweet, of course—with a slice of lemon) on the front porch swing. Read more in Sharing a Cup of Tea in the Ministers’ Wives Community.
