![]() ![]() Who is making this film?"The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe" is being produced by Walden Media (www.walden.com). The Walt Disney Studios (www.narnia.com) is co-financing the film. The director of Shrek and Shrek 2, Andrew Adamson, is directing this film. What is "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe" rated? As of September 1, this film has not yet been rated. Will there be any previews prior to the Dec. 9 release of the film?Yes, but just one day prior. Barna Films is making this preview available only to groups. Find out more information here. How are producers treating the Christian themes in the movie?Industry sources claim C.S. Lewis's Christian allegories will stay true to the book. Underlying spiritual themes supposedly are not omitted or obscured. In fact, related web sites and other resources are highlighting the allegories to encourage Christians to share them with unbelieving friends and colleagues. Where can I get additional resources for my church?Outreach offers posters, door hangers and other materials for purchase. Click here. Isn't The Magician's Nephew really the first book? Why isn't that being filmed first?[from www.narniaweb.com] C.S. Lewis wrote The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe as the first book in the series. The Magician's Nephew was written in 1955 as the sixth book in the series. For many years the books were released in "publishing" ordering but have since been re-ordered and are now published in "chronological" order. The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe is probably being produced first since it is the most well-known of the stories. Will all the Narnia stories be produced or just the first?[from www.narniaweb.com] There are plenty of rumors the series will be shortened to five, but these are just rumors. Walden has never said there were just five movies planned, and in the end the number of films produced will depend almost entirely on how well they do. Walden has optioned the entire seven-part series for film development. *LifeWay Christian Resources is not responsible for any content available on third-party sites.
