![]() ![]() C.S. Lewis' Narnia Coming to Theaters This December Type "The Chronicles of Narnia" into a GoogleŽ search engine and you will get nearly 700,000 results about C.S. Lewis' beloved children's book series. Interestingly enough, one tenth of those web links concern the upcoming release of the live-action film version of the first book in the Chronicles, The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. Star-Studded Line Up Announced for Music Inspired by The Chronicles of Narnia EMI Music recently announced plans to partner with Walt Disney Studios and Walden Media to produce two soundtracks of music inspired by what is one of 2005's most anticipated films, a live action adaptation of C.S. Lewis' best-selling classic The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. PBS Special Examines Views of Freud, C.S. Lewis All over the world, people are asking the same questions: Why is there so much pain and suffering? What does it mean to be happy? Is there such a thing as evil? Does God really exist? On September 15 and 22, PBS addresses some of these questions through a two-part series titled The Question of God: C.S. Lewis and Sigmund Freud with Dr. Armand Nicholi. Based upon a popular Harvard course taught by Dr. Nicholi - a Christian - as well as a book he authored, the series illustrates the lives and insights of Freud, a lifelong critic of religious belief, and C.S. Lewis, who was considered by some to be the 20th century's most influential and popular proponent of faith based upon reason. Practicing the Fine Art of Friendship While still a student at Oxford University and long before he became a world famous author, C. S. Lewis made a number of friends. Many of them became lifelong companions. Several in Lewis' circle of friends became authors like himself. Over the years, Lewis and his friends loved getting together to talk and read to one another from some of their works in progress. These sessions not only strengthened their friendships, but clarified their thinking and improved their books. *LifeWay Christian Resources is not responsible for any content available on third-party sites.
